So tonight I’ve decided to have a night to myself. A stay at home night in my room alone. Ash has gone out and Nats about to as well with her 4 mates that are staying here atm...theyre kinda annoying. I was going to go but sitting here just now made me realise that I haven’t really had any time to myself since I’ve been here. Even quiet nights in are with at least one of my housemates or people staying or visiting and otherwise it’s nights out, at a friends or at work surrounded by people. It’s kind of weird considering how much time I used to just spend alone back home.. speaking of home, tomorrow night I’ll be driving back to Canberra for the weekend for first time since I've moved here. It kinda already feels weird and I'm slightly nervous, not sure why but I almost forget what my rooms like and how my other friends are and stuff cause I haven’t really heard from any since I've been here. Even the thought of a city and being brought back to reality with the rush of normal working studying family life. It will defiantly be hard to move back there for good, back in with my parents and returning to study. I'll not be used to the mix of people and how not everyone is there for the same reason- snow. I'll miss my home up here and my now close friends that I've made like Chase and Nat and Caitlyn. It's even worse to think that I probably wont see a lot of them until next season or definitely for a while..

- being curled up warm in bed when its freezing out

- getting a new outfit..or just shoes
- freshly painted nails
- landing a new trick on my board or bike
- having someone look after you
- a hug from my mum or someone you know loves you
- chilling with a group of good friends
- laughing so much you can't breathe
- appreciative customers or simply nice strangers
- finding money
- getting a rad photo
- a still nights sky
- early morning sun, especially on the snowfields
- hot chocolate
- things working out for the best despite the way you originally wished things would have happened.

It snowed all day today. Blizzard. Today I saw why I moved up here. I truly love snow. It makes me feel alive, makes me so happy; it’s my natural high, it’s like my drug. Today it snowed, soft flakes falling from the sky like something straight from heaven and I was like a kid on Christmas, running outside shrieking it’s snowing!! It’s truly the most beautiful thing in the world, so magical, it puts a spell on me and when I see it I feel like nothing else in the world matters. That everything will be ok just because of these beautiful white flakes falling from the sky, everywhere.
A small rant.
Wow there are some absolute tards that come into work. It frustrates me so bad. Like who on earth comes to the snow without looking into it or at least thinking logically with their brain about WHAT snow exactly is or what the activities involve. Why don’t people think. Or are they actually that dumb? So Thursday was the coldest day in a while up the hill and was blizzarding and this guy comes in with sandals on.. sandals... but that's not all, he was hiring skis and boots etc and I go to get him to try on his boots and I was like.. um do you have socks? and he's like.. socks??..do I need them? I was like O_o are you KIDDING. Do I need them!? arhh, idiot. Yes of course you do, a) your feet will freeze, b) you'll get blisters and be so uncomfortable and c) thats sooo unhygienic! There our hire boots you noob! Haha but of course I didn’t say that. Or say the people who think they can use normal shoes in a snowboard and only try to hire a board... really now. Or those who refuse to tell me their weight cause they're too ashamed when i NEED it to work out their din setting in their ski binding.. like do they want their leg to break cause their skis wont release properly, instead of making a scene and not telling me how bout either just tell me cause I get told 1000s of peoples weight everyday and I'm not going to notice orrr if you're so concerned about it do something about it fatty! Then the rude ppl who talk down to me or say im wrong about a boot fitting or something when I'm pretty sure I've worked with skis for the last 4 years and they've never been to the snow before so shut up. Or when they're rude and I'm on my knees helping do up their boots, like wow I'm down here helping you and I don't even have to be and you're being rude!!? You can go sit on the bench and struggle by yourself thanks, I'd def prefer it, learn some manners. Ahhh yes there's def some characters that come in, but hey, it's always interesting and lucky I generally like people, plus there's also some really nice people who appreciate what we do and how much trouble we go to at work. Anyway enough whining for the evening :) 2 days off to rideee. yew!!
Life up here is pretty insane. Treck up the hill to start work at 7.30, finish at 5.30, Tues $8 snittys at the pub and pool comp then Wed jelly wrestling at LJ then to the Banjo to get our dance on for staff night. Wed nights always go off, weekends are our busiest time so staff weekends are the middle of the week. Everyones always out, always a good night. Board all day then on Friday night it’s the new snowboarding movie premiere. Off to work again then Saturdays demo vip party and work again Sun till 7pm. Have house dinners and mates round for drinks, countless fifa playstation games and many laughs. Yeh, life up here is awesome.
So been up here without the net for a while now and haven’t been able to update this much but instead I've been writing and gathering pictures just on my computer. Written small thoughts, ideas, events.. So now I have some time on hand I think I’ll update on the last month with these things... just cause.
